LET'S CARE FOR THE PARK

DO NOT LIGHT CAMPFIRES

In this type of environment, fire can spread very quickly, destroy entire ecosystems and release black carbon, accelerating glacier retreat.

LEAVE NO WASTE

Everything you bring must leave with you: bottles, plastics, paper and even organic waste. A plastic bottle can take more than 450 years to decompose.

STAY ON THE TRAILS

Trails reduce the impact on vegetation and fragile ecosystems, help prevent soil erosion and make the journey safer.

RESPECT FLORA AND FAUNA

Observing nature is part of the experience, but feeding animals can harm them, while picking plants affects regeneration and disrupts habitats, putting biodiversity at risk.

DO NOT SWIM IN THE LAKES

Swimming can alter water quality and upset the natural balance. These are highly sensitive ecosystems and a source of water for communities, wildlife and ecosystems downstream.

CAMP ONLY WHERE PERMITTED

Permitted areas are designed to minimise the impact on vegetation and reduce the risk of fires.
