Description
Laguna Querococha has views of Pucaraju and Yanamarey, and to the northwest, Mururaju and Queshque.
Its name comes from Quechua: Qiru means ceremonial cup, wood or trunk, and Qocha means lake. It is fed by rainfall and the glaciers of the Yanamarey basin.
Most visitors enjoy boat rides or walks along the shore to admire the scenery and take photographs. It is also a good place to observe high-Andean birds and explore the surrounding wetlands, making it a peaceful family visit.
