Description

With views of Paccharaju, Bayoraju and Copa, access to Rocotuyoc is managed by the Vicos community.

In the lower part of quebrada Paccharuri lie the Llamaruri cave paintings. From the road, it is about a 10-minute walk to the cave, which preserves pre-Hispanic paintings dating from approximately AD 600 to 1,000.

Higher up lies Laguna Congelada, a small glacial lake reached on foot from the car park. Small blocks of ice float in its waters, creating a beautiful landscape that combines ice, rock and the intense colours of the water.
